Nationally touring acoustic jazz band
During our little touring hiatus, we have begun writing new songs for our upcoming CD.
A few of these new pieces, we’ve been playing out this summer, so maybe you’ve heard them. One new song is called O.G. Strut. It is a bluesy vocal about a young man with a strange walk that makes the girls wild!!! We don’t want to give away the lyrics and story– you’ll just have to listen to it when it comes out– Scottie’s delivery is priceless….
more song info to come soon!
Thanks Nancy Shohet West for the great interview with Scottie and that serendipitous day on Narragansett bay…..
An excerpt: “Gypsy music is reminiscent of a retro period; it has a warm sound and an acoustic instrumentation that is easy on the ear,” said Kulman. “So anyone who has heard it before is a little nostalgic for the sound and likes us because of that. But we also play with a high energy that appeals to younger ears.” –Boston Globe Article, August 22, 2012 Read full interview here
Thanks so much to everyone for coming out to our summer shows. We had great crowds, and seriously, the people couldn’t have been more fun, more interesting or better fans. Thanks everyone!
